This month’s featured artist is Murray Clarke, a wedding photographer based in the United Kingdom. Murray and I worked together on a set of Signature Color presets that helped him streamline his workflow and achieve more consistency in the challenging lighting situations he is used to working with. His personal color palette is inspired by film and very fitting for the light, airy and evocative style that he has become known for.
“I’m a wedding photographer based in Surrey, England and have been capturing weddings for nearly 5 years throughout the UK and sometimes farther afield. My relaxed style is a mixture of photojournalism and contemporary portraiture and I strive to capture natural and beautiful images that really tell a story and evoke emotion. I shoot with two Canon 5D Mark 3’s with a full set of prime lenses that help me to make the best use of available light. I love the soft colours and tones of over-exposed Fuji film so as a digital shooter I wanted to emulate this palette within my wedding work. Rebecca worked closely with me to develop my Signature Color presets, which I now use exclusively, and they’ve really helped me to achieve my own consistent look and speed up my workflow. These presets are just beautiful, helping to brighten skin tones and compliment the soft light that I’m always looking for in my images.”
